Hungry

She woke up

Fell asleep

  • –     –  Ran

Ate dinner

Brushed her teeth

Showered

…..The urge stayed

It never left

Tw i t ch in g   fingers

The gnawing dog persisted

She denied to feed its greedy flesh

And the cold tendrils c

    re

      p

        t     over her

could she deny it forever?

All around they saw no struggle

They couldn’t hear those inward  SCREAMS

Hidden storms, brewing….everywhere

What is your interpretation of this poem? I’d love to know!

With Love, Lillian
